Non-alcoholic mulled punch

Ingredients

  • 2 hibiscus tea bags
  • 2 cinnamon sticks, plus more for garnish
  • 5 cloves
  • 2 cardamom pods
  • 4 orange slices
  • 120 ml orange juice
  • 120ml pure pomegranate juice
  • 2tbsp runny honey

We can’t deny that we love a little Christmas cocktail or a glass of Champagne, but we know that the party season can take its toll on our faces as we over indulge and go to bed late.

Whether you always abstain from alcohol, or just want a few nights off over the holiday season, this makes a lovely, festive drink (courtesy of Olive) that feels special. The vitamin C in this cocktail will also give our skin a little boost! This recipe serves 2.

Method

  1. Bring 500ml water to boil in a pan, add the tea bags and spices, and very gently simmer for 10 minutes, then add the orange slices and both juices, and simmer for 15 minutes.

  2. Strain the tea to remove the spices and tea bags, and pour back into the pan along with the orange slices.

  3. Sweeten with honey to taste, then serve in glass mugs, with the orange slices and cinnamon sticks.
